An Evening for Dog Lovers – Monday 13th August 2012

Fans of our four-legged furry friends are invited to a free North London talk with me!

How did you meet your dog? You may have read every book on the breed or owned plenty of pooches already, but nowadays it takes more than that to be sure that the precious bundle you’re taking into your home won’t break your heart – and your wallet. Or even more sadly, that you aren’t unknowingly supporting a cruel and exploitative business.

As for those whose pets are already firmly part of the family… we like to think of ourselves as responsible dog owners. However, how many of us can honestly say we’d know what to do if our beloved furry friend started to choke or was hurt in an accident?

These questions and more will be answered in a unique, free event designed to enrich our lives with our canine companions. I’ll be sharing my top tips for choosing the perfect pup and demonstrating some crucial first aid techniques, as well as giving dog fans a preview of PupAid, the celebrity-judged dog show that’s open to all and set to get tails all over London wagging in delight this September.

Everyone is welcome to the talk, whether they’re dog owners or just fans. It will be held on Monday 13th August in Primrose Hill at 7.30pm at Cecil Sharp House, English Folk Dance & Song Society, Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regent’s Park Road, London, NW1 7AY.

Those attending will also have a chance to ask me their questions.

Although attendance is free, organisers are suggesting a donation be made upon entry (with proceeds being split between British Dalmation Welfare and PupAid).

This event is supported by Primrose Hill Pets, Darling Dog Company, Hair Of The Dog, City Pups, and Cow PR.

PLEASE NOTE: Only assistance dogs are allowed in venue.
