The Wet Nose Awards, House of Lords, London
I had a great afternoon at the House of Lords today helping to celebrate the first-ever Wet Nose Awards.
These awards go to individuals who really champion animal rescue both in the UK and globally too. I was attending supporting Lucy Fensom (pictured below) who won the well-deserved Outstanding Success Award for her work with Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land (SHADH) presented by the Rt Hon Ann Widdecombe MP.
Other animal-loving celebs/personalities present today included Jenny Seagrove, Nick Knowles, Ingrid Tarrant, John Altman (Eastenders’ Nick Cotton), Clarissa Baldwin, and Dr Roger Mugford.
It was a great afternoon and, as always, very interesting to learn about the fantastic work people are doing for animals everywhere – especially in such tough economic times.
