The Walkabout Dogathon – 23rd May, Rushmoor Arena, Hampshire.

A fun spring event for you and your dog as local dog club Walkabout has just announced everyone’s welcome at their new Dogathon – a fabulous day out for you and your dog.

Dogs of all ages and breeds can take part in a day of fun-filled activities with fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Registration starts at 9.30am and there are three main events to enjoy. First there’s a test of your dog’s obedience, general manners and social skills.

Then there’s a cross-country treasure hunt. Can your dog sniff out a treat?

Plus there’s an agility course so your dog can try weaving through poles, springing over jumps and running through tunnels.

What’s more, there are prizes for each event. The prize-giving ceremony is at 2pm, when the overall winner will be announced too.

There’s no need to book in advance, just turn up on the day. The entry fee is only £20 per dog. Go to for more information or call 0845 226 8367.

Walkabout’s professional handlers offer everything from private training and individual help through to classes and socialisation work as well as residential courses too. Whether it’s puppy classes, social skills or aggression problems they can help with any issue. Plus they offer pack walks and swimming too.

Walkabout classes take place at a variety of venues including the Rushmoor Arena, Finchampstead and West Byfleet.

Directions: The Rushmoor Arena is near Aldershot’s Parade Ground.
If you’re travelling from Farnborough and the Parade Ground is on your left hand side, then take the slip road signposted to FLEET A323 and at the bottom of the slip road turn RIGHT towards Fleet. Just along this road it does a sharp right and straight ahead of you will a double metal gate (Marked Gate No 6 and a Large R). This is the entrance to the arena.
