Westminster Dog of the Year 2008 Competition
In London tomorow there’s a very special dog show indeed, the Westminster Dog of the Year 2008.
Assorted MPs, peers, political correspondents and their dogs will be gathering at the Victoria Tower Gardens, next to House of Lords, Millbank, London SW1from 11am, and guess who’ll be judging…
So forget the state of the world’s economy for an hour or so, cos it’s the Westminster Dog of the Year competition which is undoubtedly the grand pawlitical showdown of 2008.
Dogs from all shades of the political spectrum will be represented at what has become known as the canine equivalent of the general election.
I’m aiming to find the nation’s true top dog, based on the contestants’ good deeds, winning personalities and dogged devotion to their owner – and vice versa.
